Floristry Training School

Ashleigh has taught for many years in London and has also demonstrated in Japan, USA, and Canada. With her experience, she teaches you the skills to make new and exciting designs, as well as teaching classis styles to show the simple beauty of many types of flowers.

Unless stated otherwise the classes cater for students at different levels, with Ashleigh on hand to give advice and guidance during the day.

The classes are held at Wrotham Road community centre Bexleyheath, places are booked with a 20% deposit with full payment required 2 weeks before the date of the course, in the event of being unable to attend on the day we are unable to refund the course due to the perishable nature of the goods.

Tea and coffee is provided throughout the day. An hour is taken for lunch (not provided), there are shops and a pub very close by or you may bring a packed lunch with you.

Introduction to floristry - £100.00 for the day

10 am – 4.30 pm

This one day course is for beginners, or those wishing to gain more confidence in the basic understanding of floristry or practice their skills.

During the day we will discuss the care and conditioning of the flowers and how to select flowers and colours that work well together.

The day will start with coffee and demonstrations showing you how to make a hand tied bouquet and also table arrangements. In the afternoon workshop you will make a hand tied bouquet and also a table arrangement. All flowers and tools are provided for you, and you will get to take home the two lovely designs you make.

How to make a table arrangement - £100.00 for the day

10 am – 4.30 pm

This one day course is for beginners or for those who wish to practice existing skills, with step by step instructions on how to make different table arrangements. You will see them demonstrated and then in the afternoon workshop you will make two designs yourself. All flowers and tools are provided for you, and you will get to take home the two lovely designs you make.

Hand tied bouquet - £100.00 for the day

10 am – 4.30 pm

This one day course teaches you the techniques to hand tie flowers ready to place into a vase or for use as bridal bouquets. Also we will demonstrate different designs for presentations and funeral sheafs.In the afternoon you will make two lovely designs to take home with you. All flowers and tools are provided for you.

Funeral work day - £125.00 for the day

10 am – 4.30 pm

This course is for people who have started floristry and want to further their skills to include funeral work, this day will cover how to make funeral sprays in foam, based funeral tributes and discuss how to consult with clients at this time.

Flower club - £150.00 for eight weeks

6 pm – 8 pm

This is held every week on a Tuesday or Thursday evening, for eight weeks. Held in the shop, these are fun and informal evenings discussing flowers and making one design to take home with you. Each week we will make a different design, including hand tied bouquets and table arrangements. With tea and coffee provided during the evening.

Two week intensive course - £1,500.00

This course will take you through all aspects of floristry, including the techniques to make all items for various occasions and also how to buy and cost for them. It will also discuss the many areas there are to work or build a business in the industry. It is a great start for anyone deciding to have a change of career or build on existing skills they may already have. With both practical and theory combined this is a great course to continue your floristry training.

This is a fun and informal course with lots of hands on practice and filled full of tips and advice.
